WELCOME ABOARD LONNIE BOARDRIDERS
Established in the Summer of 1963-64 as Point Lonsdale Board Club, the Boardriders is a community-focused club involving grommets to grandparents.
PLBC is more than just a club for surfers. It is active in caring for and being involved in many areas we believe to be important to society.
Our competitive surfing calendar encompasses Under 12’s to over 50’s for Males and Females throughout the year along with several events for groms and beginners. Two special long-running contests are the Greg Davidson Memorial in late January and the Onshore Classic (longboards) held on Easter Sunday. The club is represented at State, National and World levels.
We are fortunate to have our own clubhouse (The Engine Shed) at Lighthouse Reserve. This enables the club to host countless activities focused on community interests as well as social events. The club has been very active in donating generously to needy causes.
We acknowledge the Wathaurong, (Wadda Warrung) people, Traditional Owners of the land and sea we live and play on and Elders past, present and emerging.
